Clients identify the organizations or people your firm works for. Contacts hold the people and organizations involved around that work. Matters link the work to the appropriate client.

Find an existing record first

Search the Clients or Contacts list before adding another record. Review names and identifying details so you do not split the same relationship across duplicates.

Keep the context connected

Use the client and matter views to see the relationships relevant to the work. Maintain billing and contact information in the appropriate record, with permissions set for the people who need to manage it.

Check before billing

Confirm the client linked to the matter and review the details required for an invoice. If a name or billing detail is incorrect, have an authorized user correct the source record.
